Meet the Facilitators:

Carine Dorce:

I have a sense of being watched over and protected since always. I believe I came here fearless and filled with Peace and Love, and somewhere along the way I picked up and piled up others’ fears in my own mind and believed I lost the Peace I had. I believed in everyone and everything but myself, and somehow I found myself in darkness and lost my Joy. Even though I had a family, worked as a nurse, and was a faithful church-goer, I felt incomplete. I was reading spiritual books which mentioned ACIM, and I got the book but didn’t hold on to it for long. I was convinced I couldn’t share that information with anyone, so I dropped it in the library box in 2010.

In 2013, my 35-year-old firstborn died of a drug overdose. Part of me felt like dying, too, but I knew Steven wouldn’t let me. He’s been my motivation to set things right in my relationships, especially the one with myself.

Jennifer Hadley came to me in 2015 via e-mail, and the free class she offered then spoke right to me. I signed up for Masterful Living in 2016. My life has completely turned around. I bought a new copy of ACIM and have been doing Lessons since last year.

I do not fear now. I have more Peace, more Love for myself and others. I know the pain of losing Steven was my motivation for change, and I also realize now that it’s up to me to continue my journey, not for him, but for myself. He is free and whole and complete. I now choose to attain my own Freedom and completion, and I welcome others to share the healing journey with me. My goal is to share the benefits with all, especially our children, so that our Lights may shine brightly together!

Connie Batsell:

Connie Batsell has been active in the field of healing for over 20 years. As a licensed massage therapist, Reiki Master Practitioner, and Spiritual Counselor, she employed a multifaceted approach so therapy could be individualized for the benefit of each client she saw at Divine Touch Therapy, the healing practice she owned and operated for 8 years. She is now fully devoted to offering spiritual counseling as a way to support her clients as they shift their thoughts and feelings from suffering to Peace.

Connie is very familiar with the powerful healing that takes place during spiritual counseling sessions. When two minds and hearts join and set the intention for Love to be revealed, healing is felt. Connie centers her heart in Love and her mind in stillness to create a sacred space. As a result, her clients feel safe, supported, heard, and understood without judgment.

In November of 2018, Connie’s family experienced a tragic loss when her oldest son was suddenly and tragically killed. His death shattered her heart and brought her to her knees. Grief is now her companion for teaching how to heal the ultimate illusion — the death of the physical body, along with the constant running theme that has been playing out in her life that she is not deserving or good enough to have Love and happiness. Connie does not deny her own feelings of grief. She allows the emotional waves to flow through her without judgment. This is called the practice of forgiveness!

Because of Connie’s training and her experiences with grief, she strongly feels a calling to work with people who are experiencing grief in any form, including the death of a loved one, the loss of a job, the difficulties of health challenges, and the challenges of relationships.

Connie’s healing work includes applying the teachings of ACIM and the healing tools she has learned from Jennifer Hadley in spiritual counseling, Finding Freedom and Masterful Living. She credits being able to face each day since the death of her son to the spiritual work she did with Jennifer, which is based in the teachings of ACIM.

Deb Klueter:

Grief is a human emotion and is something we all experience. According to The Grief Recovery Method, “grief is a normal and natural reaction to loss.  It is the conflicting feelings caused by the end of or change in a familiar pattern of behavior”.  Our life experiences vary, and even when similar our responses to grief situations can be quite different.  When we are having trouble moving through these life grief experiences, it is an indication that something is not completed.

My background as a board-certified holistic nurse, Healing Touch Certified Practitioner, minister and ‘spiritual being having a human experience’ has afforded me innumerable opportunities to experience grief deeply.  The loss of my mother, even though I very consciously assisted her at the end of life and through her transition, was a tipping point. I was spent. I found myself stuck in a deep hole of grief, and all of my then current tools were not getting me out of it.  My typical ability to cry, as a healing release was non-existent. I tried traditional and integrative healing methods, but still felt so stuck. My ACIM group work was not shifting it, though it helped me tremendously with self-forgiveness after my divorce.  During this stuck time, Masterful Living crossed my path, and this group with its parameters of respect and nonjudgment began to open a ray of light in my darkness.  New tools were shared that I began using which made dents in my grief and allowed some lifting of it. And during Masterful Living, I received guidance, an answer to a prayer to explore The Grief Recovery Method.  After taking this class and doing its work, I came to completion with something that, until then, had been totally unconscious regarding my mom’s care.  It allowed me to feel my feelings and Peace ensued. Through my professional and personal healing journey experiences, I am honored to offer sacred space to help others navigate transitions that include challenging times of loss, emotional upheaval, and grief.  It is my intention that we all may access greater wellbeing and Wholeness through this group.

Deana Desjardins:

I began awakening from the deep slumber that was my life in March of 2012. Around that time, I began reading several key books that helped spark my awareness that life could have greater depth, more clarity, and less suffering. These books were The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz, The Disappearance of the Universe by Gary Renard, and A Course in Miracles. In October 2016, I joined the ACIM-influenced retreats and classes offered by Jennifer Hadley. I wanted to be a part of everything and attended as many retreats as I could, and joined in to become a Spiritual Counselor. My life was deepening with a sense of comfort with and Love for my Self.

On November 9, 2018, my life began changing. I cannot adequately summarize in a few sentences the enormity of that change. The facts are that I fell in love with a man who was dying of pancreatic cancer. I had dated him previously in my high-school era life and had kept in contact with him for the 40 years that followed. We even came to live in the same small town.

It’s true that I had experienced other extreme losses previous to his loss (my son died by suicide in 2005). Somehow, though by this proximity of love to death, a friction was created in me as these opposing forces flowed together in those final months. I had not understood how impactful his struggle to live, his love for me, and his death would be to my desire to know the truth about this world. I am committed to bringing illusion to truth.

As I step forward with a willingness to see more clearly, to experience a life of extraordinary Love, and to “accept no compromise in which death plays a role,” I gladly share the benefits with everyone. I am a writer and poet, and a deep believer in the power of the imagination. Come journey with our extraordinary group of Facilitators as we allow Love to guide us toward healing realizations.
